New Zealand Prophecy by Dr Jonathan David, 2002
Born from a staunch Hindu Background, Dr. Jonathan David grew up knowing a deep spiritual hunger for God. His Paternal grandfather was a musician in the Hindu temple and his maternal grandfather was particularly involved in the Hindu funeral rites. The young Jonathan David used to serve them both during his school holidays in his primary school years. In his own words, “I served the living and the dead.”
He became born again at the age of 13 in a Brethren Church on Good Friday in 1972. He became water-baptized the same year on December the 16th. An intense persecution arose when it became known that he became a Christian. This made it impossible for him to go to church or even read the bible. The Bibles he had were confiscated by his father and most times torn and once burnt. When his father learned how expensive bibles were, he traded it for a reduction in tuition fees for young Jonathan with the tuition teacher. Dr. Jonathan David was baptized in the Holy Spirit on 19th August 1976 and began to walk supernaturally into the prophetic dimension. In the years of persecution that followed his conversion, the Lord opened up a meaningful consciousness of His presence that allowed young Jonathan to find comfort and strength in His Presence.
In his own words, “These times of intense persecution by my father, my relatives, and community shaped my life and formed my character. It made me determined to follow Jesus to the end. I discovered God as my Father and this revelation changed me forever.”
At the age of 19 (1978) he was already involved in four different outreaches each week and by age 20 he was in full-time ministry pioneering the church in Muar, Johor, Malaysia. In the course of 41 years as a Christian and 33 years as a minister, Dr. Jonathan David saw both his parents saved and even his mother baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Dr Jonathan David Prophecy– Tuesday 18th Feb 2002
God is wanting to take New Zealand out of where it is into a new day. You have waited for light but you were the first ones to see light of a new day. So get ready; for I will turn this nation around and cause her to cross.
For many times I have set you on the pathway but you aborted your journey. Many times I’ve set you on a course but I come to you once again that this time you shall turn and cross for this is your day- this is your time – your appointed time to cross- if you will hearken this word, begin to respond to me once again as in the days of old – come to Me with a pure heart, come to Me with a heart that will say:
“Yes Lord, give us one more move and we will build the nations.”
For the Lord would say unto you – Do not build just yourself. Do not build just your local churches. Do not build just your ministries. But build this nation for that is why I’m sending this move says the Lord. I’m sending this move that you may bring reformation to society. I’m bringing this move so you may move the church out into the streets and cause the sound of my voice to be heard in the open places, the open markets says the Lord. I do not want My Word to be confined within the four walls. Do not let My Word become imprisoned. For this is your time and season for if you will harken to the voice of My Spirit then I shall guard you from the sons of Ishmael, protect you from the powers of hell that desires to invade this place with witchcraft and sorcery and I will stop the ships that will bring idols and bring falsehood and false religion and corruption to the shores of your land. I will begin to surround this land and cut the corruptions and I will remove the injustice from the land as you will listen to My Words you will see these things before your eyes.
Close ranks in this hour. Do not do things to divide. Stay true in Covenant. Do not break covenant as in the days of your forefathers for such the curse is on the land – this generation shall break that curse. For you shall stay in covenant and in honour. You shall stay in covenant and honour. You shall stay in covenant one with another and fear not each other for you shall have only one voice and one agenda and it is to bring My Kingdom back here on this place.
So arise, shine; for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For this is the hour and time that you shall cross that which you have wanted to cross. For many moves have come but it has been aborted after a few years but this move that I will send to you – be carriers of the move.
Be mindful of My purpose. Be clear about My structure. Be sharp in your perception, for all these things will be needful to establish My Kingdom that I shall send even this place.
So get ready – says the Lord; for shall I come in this hour and find many wanting or shall I come and find you ready.
